Your start as a beauty specialist
Dream of your own place in the beauty world? In 24 lesson days (1 day per week) at Reem Beauty Academy we train you as a fully qualified beauty specialist — not from a classroom, but right inside our own skin clinic in Spijkenisse. You learn the craft the way we practise it every day: with real client situations, professional equipment and the standards an independent examination body expects of you.
The set-up is deliberately flexible. You work through the theory whenever it suits you via the digital learning environment, so every clinic training day is free for supervised practice. Your confidence grows treatment by treatment — until you are ready to work independently, whether employed or in your own business.
Why choose Reem Beauty Academy?
Learn in a real clinic
You do not train in a classroom, but in a working skin clinic with professional equipment and protocols from daily practice.
Small groups, personal attention
With us you are not a number. Small groups mean more practice time, direct feedback and guidance at your level.
Bilingual support
Lessons are taught in Arabic; in practice we also use Dutch, so you learn the Dutch professional terminology. Language should never be the reason you do not pursue your dream.
Guidance from practice
Practice-focused guidance from a tutor with a beauty education and hands-on experience in the industry. Alongside the curriculum you get the tips and tricks you only learn from experience.
Flexible learning alongside life
Theory at your own pace via the digital learning environment, practice on scheduled training days — compatible with work or family.
Support right through to your exam
We prepare you purposefully for the theory and practical exams that Exuive conducts independently, so you sit them with confidence.
Where your diploma takes you
The Beauty Specialist industry diploma — after independent examination via Exuive — is a solid basis to start working in the industry and the starting point for everything you want to learn next.
- Run your own business with a salon or treatment room at home
- Join a beauty salon, skin clinic or beauty concept as an employee
- Work in wellness resorts, spas and sauna complexes
- Specialise further in acne, IPL & laser or medical camouflage
Who is this programme for?
You do not need a diploma or prior knowledge to enrol. We build everything from the ground up, at a pace where no one is left behind. You get personal guidance during the theory and practical lessons, with practical knowledge you actually need on the job.
Admission requirements
Minimum age 18. No diploma is required; a vmbo diploma (kader or theoretical track) or an equivalent level is recommended. Admission to the external exam depends on Exuive’s current admission requirements.
Exemptions
Exemptions are assessed solely on the basis of demonstrably previously obtained diplomas, certificates or relevant training experience. Any exemption is confirmed in writing by Reem Beauty Academy before the programme starts. No rights can be derived from an exemption request until it has been approved in writing.
The 24-lesson-day programme
Every module combines the knowledge you need for your exam with the skills you will use every day.
- Understand the skin: anatomy, skin types, skin concerns and drawing up a treatment plan
- Understand ingredients and formulations so you can advise clients with a solid rationale
- Carry out complete facial treatments, from cleansing to finishing care
- Work with professional equipment and know when not to use it
- Massage techniques for face, body, hands and feet
- Salon-level hand and foot treatments
- Facial and body hair removal with the right technique per skin type
- Shape eyebrows and carry out lash treatments
- Hygiene protocols, client safety and the professional attitude the craft requires
Self-study at home, hands-on in the clinic
After enrolment and payment you receive a personal account for the digital learning environment with lesson videos and practice questions (Dutch and Arabic). It contains organised modules, instruction videos and forms you can download and use straight away in practice. You study when it suits — evenings, weekends, in between everything else. That means on training days we do not spend time on explanations you can also read at home, and every minute in the clinic goes to supervised practice. If you get stuck on a module, you reach your tutor via the digital learning environment, by email or simply via WhatsApp.
Learning materials & digital learning environment
During the programme, students receive access to the learning materials belonging to the programme and the digital learning environment. Depending on the programme, materials may include theory, practice-oriented content, instructional material and supporting digital content.
Study progress
Study progress is monitored throughout the programme and discussed with the student where needed.
Study guidance
Students are guided throughout the programme by the Reem Beauty Academy tutor. For questions about theory, practical assignments and study progress, students can contact the tutor.
